Bend that shit – Friday Summary

Posted on February 26th, 2011

The evening went well. Eight people showed up and crowded my livingroom. =) There were prayer-boxes being bent, a shruthi synthesizer got its cv-inputs made, a box for magazines were decorated, a LCD-display were slaughtered to in an attempt to build a small projector, i almost got the filter running that i started building last week.  And last but not least the kiwidrive-robot learend to play notes with the stepping-motors. Thus: we had lots of fun!

Hackathon – Pix & lols! We were there.

Posted on February 20th, 2011

We had a great time at Hackathon! Lots of friendly curious people, good food and great projects! The ppls from Forsken was building a robot thats supposed to be controlled like a FPS-game from a computer, some guy build a clay-pooping tube and the devsound crew started to build a filter and then continued to MIDIfy my WSG Synthesizer. It is now possible to flick its switches with midi-notes thus making it a bit more musical. =)

Devsound will be attending Hackathon!

Posted on February 13th, 2011

Next weekend will be nice for the devsound crew! MYself & Philip will probably be sitting at Hackathon building “the simplest variable¬† 2 pole filter” we could find. LINK

If you are interested in building a filter then check this list of filters: LIST

Another project in the pipe is MIDI-fying my WSG with the help of an arduino.

Keep up the good workz!

Modular Tuesday – Buchla Fibonacci Sequence

Posted on February 8th, 2011

Continuing our weekly update from the world of modular synthesizers, here’s a Buchla doing some strange spacious noises.

I used the Fibonacci division mode in the Eardrill 077 to run the 250e here. The 250e step length CV is used to control the Fibonacci divisions, so there’s a little control feedback loop. For those interested with tech geek shit.
No source of uncertainty yet, that will be coming very soon, Everything is somehow modulated by a 281 envelope cycling at it’s slowest speed.
