Crime City Arcade

We’ve built a four player arcade cabinet called Crime City Arcade, and we want to tell you about it. When we designed this thing we had a few requirements in mind:

  •     Support for multiple players, the more, the better
  •     Easy to connect to any computer and to make games for
  •     Needs to be somewhat portable so we can bring it to gamejams and events
  •     Easy to build so we can actually complete it Read more »

Spaceclutter Arcade at Kao’s

Posted on November 12th, 2012

As of today (and for a couple of days) you can play the epic game Spaceclutter on a real arcade machine at Kao’s here in Malmö. You can glimpse the awesome machine just behind the very elegant gentleman in the front of the picture. The cabinet was built as an experiment at STPLN in Malmö. Its built using an old crappy laptop that has been heavily modified to fit the case. The joystick and the button is interfaced to the computer with a hacked usb-keyboard. And finally the game is made by Harry Lundström.

It has been a really fun build and we are hoping that people will enjoy the game at Kao’s. So what are you waiting for? Not in Malmö? Not in Sweden? Not in Europe? Airports have been invented, you have no excuse. Btw: The Risotto is really good there!
